The lucky winner of The Foundation for Red Deer Public Schools’ LIFE CHANCES 50/50 LOTTERY will take home at least $10,000.
Tickets are on sale until Oct. 10, and the draw takes place on Oct. 11.
Hundreds of students have benefited from programs through The Foundation for Red Deer Public Schools.
Nearly 100 students had the best start to Kindergarten via the Bright Start program. Over 900 students have increased their reading and writing skills through Reading College, and more than 500 students facing barriers have graduated thanks to the Finish Line program.
“All of these programs make a real difference in the lives of kids and help them reach their full potential,” said foundation chair Kristine Plastow, in a statement.
The foundation also supports community initiatives impacting thousands of students to enrich their learning. Without funding for the initiatives, the foundation counts on community support to make them happen.
“None of these programs are possible without the generous support of our community. We encourage the community to purchase tickets and to give kids a life chance.”
Last year, the parent of a Red Deer Public Schools student won $13,915.
