Bentley’s other goals came off the sticks of Scott Doucet, Martin Sonnenberg, Sean McAslan, Travis Brigley and Sean Robertson.

Travis Yonkman made 29 saves for the Generals, who fired 40 shots at Lloydminster netminder Jody Lehman in front of 175 fans.

The Generals were coming off a 4-2 home-ice win over the Stony Plain Eagles Saturday, a game in which Colin McRae tallied twice for the winners and Diarmuid Kelly and Scott Kalinchuk each scored once.

Scott Galenza blocked 25 shots for the win. Eagles goaltender Clayton Wilburn made 31 saves.

Elsewhere Saturday, the Innisfail Eagles posted their first win of the season, 4-3 over the host Carstairs Redhawks in a shootout.

Jeffery Clazie, Gordon Defoe and Sean Neumeier potted regulation-time goals for Innisfail, with Ryan Kallis connecting in the shootout.

Evan Miller stood tall in the Eagles’ net, turning aside 42 shots. Kyle Seidel and Jason Kipling combined to make 39 saves for the hosts.

In Friday action, Luke Boyer recorded a hat trick and Cody Esposito and Matt Register each sniped a pair of goals to lead the host Sylvan Lake Admirals past Innisfai 9-4.

Luke Hanna and Kyle Pess also tallied for the Admirals, who got a 15-save performance from Jordan Ramstead. Miller and Wade Waters combined to stop 35 shots at the other end, while Neumeier, with a pair, Kallis and Drew Coles supplied the Innisfail goals.
