The Central Alberta Buccaneers were unable to earn their first win of the year over the weekend.

The Alberta Football League club dropped to 0-3 on the 2025 season following a 45-7 defeat at the hands of the Airdrie Irish at MEGlobal Athletic Park in Lacombe on Saturday, June 14.

Previously, the Bucs were defeated by the Calgary Wolfpack on June 7 and the Peace Country Cowboys the week prior.

The Bucs only have three games remaining in the regular season, only one of which will be played at home. Next up, Central Alberta will hit the road to battle the Calgary Gators on June 21. The Buccaners will then host the Cold Lake Fighter Jets on July 5, before wrapping up the regular season with a road game against the Peace Country Cowboys.
