Queens drop 2-1 decision to Ooks

For the second day in a row the RDC Queens were close against the NAIT Ooks in Alberta Colleges Women’s Hockey League play.The Queens dropped a 2-1 decision to the Ooks at NAIT Friday after suffering a 4-3 loss at the Arena Thursday.

EDMONTON - For the second day in a row the RDC Queens were close against the NAIT Ooks in Alberta Colleges Women’s Hockey League play.

The Queens dropped a 2-1 decision to the Ooks at NAIT Friday after suffering a 4-3 loss at the Arena Thursday.

Nikki Connor scored the Queens lone goal at 12:45 of the second period on the power play. The goal narrowed the gap to 2-1.

Michelle Pochapsky of Didsbury, who played midget hockey in Olds, scored both NAIT goals at 1:03 and 7:02 of the middle stanza.

RDC’s Camille Trautman and NAIT’s Jill Diachuk both finished with 29 saves.
