The Louisiana Hayride is a musical journey with artists transforming themselves in appearance and sound, sharing the music of Elvis, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Shania Twain and others.

Elvis, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Loretta Lynn: Besides being music legends, they are also among the many honoured and celebrated musical artists at the Louisiana Hayride show.

Since its first production in March 2010, the Louisiana Hayride has proven to be one of the most loved touring shows in Western Canada.

“The show highlights the best of country and rockabilly hits from the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s,” says Lori Risling, Show Founder and Master of Ceremonies. “The show pays tribute to the historical radio program, the Louisiana Hayride.”

The Louisiana Hayride was broadcast live from the Shreveport Auditorium in Louisiana. The show ran from 1948 to 1960 in front of a live audience of more than 3,000.

The show is well-known for giving some great ones their start, including Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley when he was 19 years old. Because of this the Hayride became known as the ‘Cradle of the Stars.’

After a pause in their schedule because of COVID, the Louisiana Hayride is back on tour.

“If you have seen our show in the past, you will love our new additions,” says Lori. “You will feel like you have been transported back in time and are sitting at a live concert enjoying Conway Twitty, Crystal Gale and all the others.”

In addition to these legends, there is a tribute to Shania Twain and country music greats like Merle Haggard, Roger Miller, and Buck Owens.

The Louisiana Hayride is a musical journey with artists transforming themselves in appearance and sound.

“We are unique, not just because of what happens on the stage,” says Lori. “Our show has top-quality sound, costumes, and outstanding talent. We are a family, and that is apparent to the audience. We make a connection.”

The cast and crew, dedicated to bringing authenticity to the audience, host an evening of stellar music and extraordinary vocals. The audience will be captivated by the studio stage set, talented tribute artists, and live band.
