Taste the World at this brand new Red Deer restaurant!

International Buffet offers something for every palate

If you’re craving a fresh, delicious salad but your partner wants butter chicken and the kids are dreaming about dessert, deciding where to eat can be a struggle.

A brand new restaurant in Red Deer makes the decision easy!

The International Buffet and Lounge team is pleased to welcome the community to their new restaurant, in the north end of the city.

“We wanted to offer a mixture of Continental and international cuisines, with lots of different options so that everyone would find something delicious,” says general manager Brent Taylor.

New favourites to discover

While the focus is on quality, not quantity, the buffet is endless, serving home-style menu favourites and the chef’s Taste of the World menu.

“We won’t be serving the same items every day, so you’ll always find new dishes to discover … and likely a few new must-haves with every visit!”

Those with specific nutrition needs, including gluten-free, low-carb, vegan, paleo and plant-based diets will all find more than a few temptations.

Begin with an all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar, before selecting from a wide range of Continental dishes, along with a variety of international offerings and North American comfort food, such as meatloaf and southern fried chicken with cornbread. Every day is different, but you can always count on quality!

Finish your meal with homemade desserts and ice cream, always a favourite with the kids!

Serving procedures have all been adapted for today’s health and safety guidelines, so while this is a buffet, service is more cafeteria-style: a server, wearing a mask and gloves, will dish out the selections you choose, to prevent multiple hands on the serving utensils. A Plexiglas shield also protects the food while you browse your favourite selections.

In addition to take-out options, the spacious restaurant offers table seating as well, with room for physical distancing, Taylor notes. For those who prefer to order online to go, check out their a la carte menu here, where options will also change daily.

Serving lunch daily from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., ($15.99) and dinner ($19.99) from 4:30 to 9 p.m., delivery and catering is also available.

Visit the International Buffet and Lounge at Bay 10, 7110 50th Ave. Small groups can also be accommodated in accordance with Provincial Health guidelines. Learn more at internationalbuffetreddeer.com
