Amber Alert issued for missing Toronto girl, 3-year-old Madison Young

Toronto police have issued an Amber Alert for a three-year-old girl last seen in the city’s west end.

TORONTO — Toronto police say they are concerned for the safety of a three-year-old girl who is the subject of an Amber Alert.

Police say Madison Young may be with her mother, Sarah Young, and are urging the mother to contact them — but they gave no details about their reasons for concern.

Madison is described as two feet tall and between 31 and 40 pounds with chin-length brown wavy hair and brown eyes.

Police say her mother was last seen Tuesday night in the parking lot of a Home Depot (near 120 Seventh Street) in the Etobicoke area of Toronto, after being dropped off by a cab.

Contrary to previous reports, police now say the child was not seen with her mother at that time. However, they say another unidentified woman may have been seen with the mother.

They say the girl — who was last seen three days ago — may be wearing a pink winter jacket.

Police describe Sarah Young as 33 years old with light black skin, a freckled face and brown eyes. She is about 99 pounds with long brown curly hair that is partly grey, and wears glasses.

Officers are also seeking a sky blue SUV in relation to the case.

Police are asking the public to call 911 if they have information.
