A Regina man accused of killing a fellow student at a university in the U.S. will face trial for murder.

MENOMONIE, Wis. — A Regina man accused of killing a fellow student at a university in the U.S. will face trial for murder.

Jared Britton is one of two former hockey players at the University of Wisconsin-Stout who have been charged in the death of Bradley Simon.

Police allege Britton shoved the 22-year-old man while he was riding a bike outside a bar near the university campus on Sept. 18.

Simon struck his head on a cement wall and died in hospital a few days later.

Britton and 21-year-old co-accused Jed McGlasson of Alaska were charged with being party to a felony murder and battery.

Britton will return to court Dec. 13.
