WINNIPEG — The fate of two Manitoba high school teachers who performed a sexually suggestive dance at a student rally is now in the hands of the Winnipeg School Division.

And one trustee says he thinks the teachers should be fired.

The male and female teacher performed something akin to a lap dance at a rally for students in Grades 9 through 12 last week, although both remained fully clothed.

The performance was caught on video and has been uploaded to several web sites.

The teachers have been suspended with pay while the school division investigates and decides whether disciplinary action should be taken.

One school trustee, Mike Babinsky, says the probe will likely take some time, but he thinks the teachers have crossed a line and should lose their jobs.
