McDonald’s apologizes over incident

A Hamilton mother is not McHappy about the treatment she received at a McDonald’s.

HAMILTON, Ont. — A Hamilton mother is not McHappy about the treatment she received at a McDonald’s.

Colleen Frank says she was nursing her five-week-old son in the playroom of a McDonald’s when a female manager asked her to stop.

The 28-year-old mom says the manger told her it was upsetting some of the customers.

Frank says she told the manager it was a restaurant and her child is having his dinner.

She says she finished feeding the baby before leaving and talked with the owner Thursday and says he seemed genuinely apologetic.

In a statement issued Thursday, owner Glen Steeves said the restaurant had offered the customer “our sincerest apologies.”
