VANCOUVER — Nine people struck by a limousine early Sunday near a Vancouver nightclub have been treated and released from hospital.
Police say they believe an altercation occurred outside the limo about 2:30 a.m. before it went mobile and mounted a curb, striking the pedestrians.
The four men and five women suffered bruises, scrapes and soft tissue injuries, and one of them was treated for a head wound.
The vehicle travelled for some distance eastbound along Davie St. before coming to rest.
Police say the driver is co-operating with the investigators, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
They haven’t laid any charges and aren’t yet releasing information about a man arrested near the scene or saying what his suspected involvement may have been.
