Phoenix police investigate and gather near where a veteran police sergeant, whose name has not been released, was shot and killed, Tuesday, near the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix. A Phoenix Police Department spokesman says officers had been looking for the officer Monday night around 11 p.m., when Capitol Police located an abandoned police car in a nearby commercial district, and when officers approached the car they found the slain officer.
