NANAIMO, B.C. — One person has been killed in a police-involved shooting in Nanaimo.
RCMP in the Vancouver Island city confirm the shooting occurred this morning near the Nanaimo courthouse in the downtown core.
No officers were injured in the incident and no information has been released about the victim.
There is no word about what prompted the incident.
The area where the shooting occurred remains roped off.
