SASKATOON — A flight instructor and a student have been killed in the crash of an ultra-light plane south of Saskatoon.
The aircraft was found in a field Tuesday morning.
Police say the victims were a 28-year-old man from the Moose Jaw area and a 56-year old male from Saskatoon, but no names are being released.
The flight instructor’s family contacted police when the plane did not return on schedule Monday night.
A military search-and-rescue Hercules was sent from Winnipeg to help in the aerial search.
