WINNIPEG — Two teenagers are dead and another is facing charges after a car crash that Winnipeg police say involved alcohol.

Police say a Chevrolet Cavalier appears to have run a red light early Sunday morning at a busy intersection (St. Mary’s Rd at Bishop Grandin Blvd).

The Cavalier hit a Pontiac Sunfire with five people in it.

A 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl in the Sunfire have died.

An 18-year-old woman remains in critical condition.

The driver and lone occupant of the Cavalier, a 17-year-old girl, is facing charges including impaired driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death.
