Corrections officers found $11,000 worth of contraband, including marijuana during a search earlier this month at the Bowden Institution.
A press release from Correctional Service Canada says a package containing contraband was seized in the minimum security unit of Bowden on March 7.
The CSC uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions including ion scanners and drug-detector dogs to search buildings, personal property, inmates and visitors.
