A young pedestrian was injured during a motor vehicle collision Monday evening in Red Deer.
Red Deer RCMP responded to the collision, which resulted in the pedestrian being transported to a local hospital, and then transported by STARS to Calgary.
At 5:22 p.m., the RCMP were dispatched to Ellenwood Drive. An eastbound SUV collided with a 14-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries.
An RCMP collision analyst attended to conduct a scene examination. The incident did not occur within a crosswalk.
The investigation into this collision continues.
