17-year-old driver killed in east central Alberta rollover

Truck was pulling a trailer carrying a skid steer when it rolled ins single-vehicle collision

A 17-year-old is dead after the truck he was driving rolled in east central Alberta.

RCMP from Consort, Coronation and Oyen responded to the single-vehicle collision about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday near Highway 41 and Township Road 325.

Police said truck was pulling a trailer carrying a skid steer. Witnesses reported that the driver went off the road, over-corrected and rolled the truck. The driver died at the scene.

RCMP and Occupational Health and Safety are investigating.
