17th annual Central Alberta Children’s Festival happening June 2-3

The Central Alberta Children’s Festival returns next month.

The 17th edition of the annual event will be held at Rotary Recreation Park in Red Deer June 2-3 and will feature live performances, activities and more.

“The community planning committee has been busy putting together a great two days that will enchant and engage children of all ages. We have many new things this year and some of the favourites are back,” said a media release issued by Family Services of Central Alberta.

“With support from various community partners, the festival brings affordable, culturally diverse, and exciting entertainment through featured artists and interactive fun. We strive to allow families to actively engage in learning and playtime by fostering their imagination and creativity.”

Live performances include Sylvia Chave’s one-mom music show, James Jordan’s one-man vaudeville variety show and Jason Zackowski of Zed Science.
