2020 Women of Excellence Awards nominations now open

Nominations are now open for the 2020 Women of Excellence Awards Gala.

The Red Deer and District Community Foundation has announced the 13th annual event will be held June 13.

“What we really want to hit home this year is that the women of excellence program is not only about supporting outstanding women who continue to create positive change within our community, but also that the proceeds support a community foundation that has contributed over $11 million to charitable projects across central Alberta in the past 30 years,” said interim executive director Erin Peden.

“By nominating and acknowledging the women in your circles who work tirelessly to improve the quality of life in your community, you are also supporting projects, programs and organizations that create a stronger central Alberta.”

More than 350 women have been recognized as pillars in their communities throughout the awards’ history.
