Twenty-five properties in Red Deer will go up for auction after they failed to pay property taxes for three years.
The properties, located throughout the city, will sold at the 2017 tax auction sale on April 26 at 1 p.m. at Red Deer City Hall, 4914 48th Ave.
On Monday, city council set the reserved bid for each property. The reserve bids range from $800,000 to $3,000.
Originally 30 properties were identified for sale, but five have since paid their tax arrears. Any of the 25 properties can pay the arrears owing up until the auction being declared open.
