A lone occupant of a vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 617 has died after a collision.

Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to the scene in the early morning hours of Aug. 13 and found a 30-year-old Camrose man in life-threatening conditions. He was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of the injuries.

Police say the initial investigation shows the man was travelling westbound on Hwy. 617, when his vehicle began to enter the ditch, over-corrected and rolled. The deceased was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved.
