A Red Deerian has died after a collision on Highway 2, police confirmed Tuesday.
Didsbury RCMP responded to a 911 call Monday morning after a collision between a truck and a semi-tractor trailer at the intersection of Highway 2 and Township Road 320 in Mountain View County.
Police say the truck was travelling southbound on Highway 2 when it crossed the median and struck the semi travelling northbound.
The 37-year-old driver of the truck from Red Deer was pronounced dead at the scene. The individual’s name is not being released.
The driver of the semi did not sustain any injuries.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
