A 75-year-old Lacombe woman has died after a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning near Blackfalds.
Blackfalds RCMP said they were called to a two-vehicle collision at Highway 2A and Township Road 40-0 just north of Blackfalds about 11:45 a.m.
Police said a truck was travelling southbound on Highway 2A when it crossed the centre line and hit a northbound vehicle.
The 72-year-old Lacombe man who was driving the vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries. His passenger, a 75-year-old woman, died at the scene. The 41-year-old Lacombe man driving the truck was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in stable condition.
Blackfalds RCMP continue to investigate the cause of this collision.
