A dozen Red Deer vehicles were vandalized and had items taken from just before Christmas.

Red Deer RCMP are hoping for the public’s assistance in finding the culprits.

In the early morning hours of Dec. 23, about 12 vehicles in the Deer Park neighbourhood were vandalized. Police said vehicles had their mirrors broken off, windshield wipers torn off, windows smashed and, in one case, a vehicle’s soft top cover was cut. Items were also stolen from several of these vehicles.

Witnesses reported seeing two males in the area. Police said they were wearing dark clothing, peering into vehicles and trying to open vehicle doors.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact Red Deer City RCMP at 403-343-5575. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or report it online at www.tipsubmit.com.
