Susan Larnre, left, of Red Deer holds Nova steady so owner Angie Friesen of Calgary can trim the 10-moth-old boxer’s tail prior to showing in the senior puppy class at the Red Deer and District Kennel Club All Breed Conformation Show on Saturday.

About 400 exhibitors from all over Alberta and some other western provinces brought nearly 2,000 dogs of 200 breeds for the series of competitions over the weekend.

The show, being held in Westerner Park’s Stockmen’s and Prairie Pavilions, is open to the public.
