Alberta reported 24 new COVID-19-related deaths over the past seven days.
Overall, there have been 4,872 COVID-19-related deaths in Alberta since the start of the pandemic.
From Sept. 13 to Sept. 19, the province reported 1,435 new cases of the virus — up 337 from a week earlier.
There are now 843 people — up 24 from a week earlier — in hospital infected with COVID-19 province-wide, including 26 in the ICU, unchanged from a week earlier.
In the Central Zone, there are 93 people in hospital, up six from last week, with four in the ICU.
Thirty-three new cases were identified in the City of Red Deer over the seven-day period ending this past Monday, according to geospatial mapping on the provincial government’s website.
Over that same time period, 10 cases were identified in Red Deer County, four in Lacombe County, and four in the City of Lacombe.
Over that same time period, Mountain View County recorded four, Sylvan Lake had four, Clearwater County two, one was identified in Stettler County and six were reported in Olds.
The City of Camrose added four new cases, Drumheller added two, Camrose County had none and Kneehill County had four cases.
Wetaskiwin County, including Maskwacis, had 10 new cases over the past seven days, while Rimbey and west Ponoka County and parts of Lacombe County had 11 and Ponoka and East Ponoka County had one.
