There will be dahlias and gladiolus flowers from all over the province on display just south of Red Deer beginning Friday.

The Alberta Dahlia and Gladiolus Society’s annual Flower Show and Sale will be held at the Piper Creek Trial Garden, located on 40 Avenue across from the landfill site in Red Deer County.

Flower staging will take place from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, followed by a public viewing and judging from 1-5 p.m. On Saturday, the judging results will be revealed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will then begin at 3 p.m.

The Canadian Gladiolus Council is having its 100th anniversary in conjunction with the annual show and sale.
