The Alberta Dahlia & Gladiolus Society is hosting a Summer Celebration Aug. 1-2.
The event will be hosted at the Piper Creek Trail Garden on 40 Avenue, south of 19 Street, across from the landfill site.
On Aug. 1, attendees are invited to learn how to design a gladiolus arrangement at 10 a.m. All materials will be provided, but attendees are asked to bring their own lunch and a lawn chair. A free supper will be provided at 5 p.m.
The following day, at 10 a.m., attendees will learn how to judge dahlias in the garden and on the seedling bench.
