Alberta entrepreneur launches project to help small business owners

Bruce Tannas is trying to bring together small businesses as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Tannas, an entrepreneur and business development expert launched a new online marketplace to help small business owners and entrepreneurs connect and grow.

Thursday, the Alberta government opted to continue with COVID-19 measures that have kept gyms, restaurants and other businesses closed over the past month.

The online marketplace, called Connect4Commerce is aimed to help the more than 42,000 Alberta small businesses that are at risk of closing because of the pandemic.

“COVID-19 has devastated small and medium-sized businesses in Alberta and across the country,” said Bruce Tannas, CEO of Luna Media Inc. and founder of Connect4Commerce in a press release. “We are providing a convenient tool to help business owners and entrepreneurs save effort, time and money whether they are closing their doors or starting a new venture during these difficult times.”

Connect4Commerce is an online platform designed to help with buying and selling almost anything, from equipment to entire businesses. The site is also a hub of information and advice related to buying, selling and growing a small business.

“While there are other buy-and-sell websites, Connect4Commerce is the only one-stop-shop designed specifically for business-to-business interactions, making it more targeted and generating a highly engaged community,” added Tannas. “It is more important now than ever for small business owners to have serious buyers and potential clients at their fingertips.”
