The Alberta Parks online reservation line is now a year-round service.

With the number of camp site reservations doubling since 2015, Alberta Parks’ online reservations will be taken 90 days in advance throughout the year.

That means a reservation could be made on Tuesday for any campsite until April 11.

Comfort campsites can be booked up to 180 days in advance, to mid-July.

Starting on Wednesday, group campsites can be booked for 180-days in advance, depending on each campsite’s opening and closing dates.

Campers can book a maximum of 10 consecutive nights per reservation to enable fair and equitable access for all campers. Two separate reservations are needed to say longer.

Alberta Environment and Parks Minister (and Rocky Mountain House MLA) Jason Nixon stated on social media: “These measures will help optimize our park system to give all campers an opportunity to stay in some of the most special places on earth.”
