The registered charity Alberta Prairies Life Enrichment Training Studio Ltd. has teamed up with Central Alberta Brain Injury Society to offer a support worker certificate course.

The Life Enrichment Support Worker Program is a 12-week certificate course created for those interested in a career as a support worker for our vulnerable and disadvantaged citizens.

In a release, the organization said central Alberta currently has a lack of support workers to assist seniors, and those with special needs, addictions, mental health, and chronic medical health concerns.

Applications are now being accepted for the course, which is set to start April 20.

The organization noted that they have funding for a limited amount of students.
