Alberta’s wise-cracking songbird Jann Arden will entertain in Red Deer this summer.

The multi-platinum, award-winning singer/songwriter, actor and author will announced her Jann Arden Live! tour will stop at the Memorial Centre on June 29.

With 19 top ten singles, eight JUNO Awards, 10 SOCAN Awards, a Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction, and the Order of Canada, Arden is a beloved Canadian musical artist and personality.

The Calgary-based singer catapulted onto the Canadian music scene in 1993 with the release of her debut album Time For Mercy, featuring the hit single, I Would Die For You. A year later with Living Under June, she would have her career breakout hit Insensitive.

In January, Arden released her 15th studio album, Descendant. Produced by Bob Rock, Russell Broom as well as Arden, the 15-song collection “represents the last 18 months of Arden’s life and headspace,” states a concert press release.

With a bold, empowering sound the album signals a return to form for the multi-faceted artist, who’s reflecting on where she came from and where she’s headed.

Arden is also known for her wit, showcased in her TV comedy series, JANN, which is returning for a fourth season on CTV in 2022.

She has her own podcast, available weekly on iHeartRadio Canada. And Arden has written five books, including the latest, If I knew Then: Finding Wisdom in Failure and Power in Aging.

Tickets for her Red Deer show will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. at Showpass.com.
