Premier Jason Kenney and Education Minister Adriana LaGrange will update Albertans on the school re-entry plan today at 3 p.m.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, will also provide an update on COVID-19.

The province has been considering three scenarios for the commencement of classes in September: normal school operations; partially reopening schools with some restrictions; and continuing at-home learning.

In June, LaGrange said she expects students will be back in classrooms in September, but said the decision on which model is chosen wouldn’t be released until Aug. 1.
