Spectators join the Red Deer Aboriginal Dance Troupe in a round dance in the Alexander Way fountain Saturday. Dancing, singing and a variety of artisans, some demonstrating their work, were part of the annual Alexander Way Arts Festival held on a windy, cool 52nd Avenue as part of Alberta Arts Days. Events continued Sunday with a concert from noon to 6 p.m. at Bower Ponds featuring eight bands, choirs and singers as well as Scriptease, a Prime Stock Theatre event where four playwrights have just four hours to write pieces. It goes at the Scott Block with doors opening at 7 p.m. and plays starting at 8.
