Alix armed robbery suspect flees on snowmobile

Suspect walked into Alix ATB branch armed with a gun and demanded cash on Friday morning

An armed robbery suspect made his getaway on a snowmobile in Alix on Friday morning.

Bashaw RCMP responded to a 911 call at ATB Financial at about 11:15 a.m.

A masked man wearing gloves walked into the branch armed with a long-barrelled gun and a machete. The suspect demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

No employees were injured during the robbery.

Once outside, the man jumped on a snowmobile and fled. The snowmobile was last known to be on Alix Lake. Someone took a photo as the suspect fled.
