Local radio personalities from Zed 99, KG Country 95.5 and Kraze 101.3. battled a team from Big Brothers/Big Sisters in a game of slo-pitch at Great Chief Park in Red Deer on Sunday.
Publisher Fred Gorman of the Red Deer Advocate acted as the umpire while Bob Grainger of the Red Deer Express served as the announcer for the game that ended with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters winning 14-11.
The event was organized to encourage the community to get involved with kids as there are currently 30 youths in Red Deer waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister match.
