AMA holding 'human gift chain' on Friday

A “human gift chain” on Friday will make Christmas a little brighter for those in need in Red Deer this Christmas.

A “human gift chain” on Friday will make Christmas a little brighter for those in need in Red Deer this Christmas.

The Alberta Motor Association will be filling its fleet of tow trucks with toys and food donations as part of its third annual provincewide Christmas collection campaign that has successfully reached its 2014 provincial goal of $100,000.

AMA employees, friends and family will form the human chain to help the jolly old elf fill up their decorated fleet vehicles with the donations that will go to local charities — the Christmas Bureau and the Red Deer Food Bank.

The event runs from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the AMA Red Deer Centre at Southpointe Common, which is at 141 2004 50th Ave.
