Rayanne Rieu, left, and Isabell Rabbit get some assistance from Robert Cahill during an Arctic Art session at St. Francis Assisi Middle School this week. The girls and their classmates and students from St. Thomas Middle School were making Inuit-inspired soapstone carvings as part on the curriculum, which gives the students exposure to Arctic native culture. Cahill, who works with Central Arctic Services Ltd., says by the end of the class, the students will have a piece of art they can be proud of.
