An arrest warrant has been issued for a woman accused of a hit and run in Riverside Meadows in March.

Cora Nichole Bush, 35, of Red Deer missed her April 10 court date in Red Deer provincial court. As a result, a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Bush faces several charges, including possession of stolen property over $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, failing to stop at the scene of a collision causing bodily harm and failing to comply with an undertaking.

She was arrested on March 20 on 11 outstanding warrants. The charges were in relation to a March 11 hit and run of a cyclist neat 60th Street and 54th Avenue in Red Deer.

Red Deer RCMP said while on patrol they located a stolen vehicle in Highland Green and activated their emergency lights in an attempt to stop the vehicle.

The vehicle drove south at high speed on 59th Avenue.

Later, the vehicle was found abandoned on 56th Avenue.

Police dog services searched unsuccessfully for the suspect.
