A man is in a Calgary hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries after he was found injured near a city street early Tuesday.

Const. Sabrina Grunow of city RCMP said the public’s assistance is needed to identify what happened to the 24-year-old who was found unconscious lying several feet off a sidewalk on Nolan Street in the Normandeau subdivision.

The injured man was transported to Calgary by STARS suffering from undisclosed injuries.

The cause of the injury was unknown as of Tuesday afternoon.

The RCMP forensic identification section and detectives are investigating the case.

Grunow said anyone with information is urged to telephone police at 4030343-5575 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
