Volunteer Kelly Condon hustles to get the last of 174 bagged lunches ready for delivery to 25 city schools in the Loaves and Fishes kitchen on Wednesday morning. The charitable organization which helps feed the city’s homeless, kicked off a fundraising campaign to bring in $113,000, the balance needed to pay for recent renovations to its kitchen, building and Genesis House, the home the benevolent society runs for some of its male patrons. Most of the work was paid for with a $265,000 provincial grant. The campaign kicked off with a $700 gift from Farm Credit Canada employees, who solicited at the recent Red Deer Rebels game as part of their Drive Away Hunger program.
