Connie Walsh hangs photos of her two sisters, who suffer from multiple sclerosis, while Radhika Nair readies MS Society pamphlets and Walsh’s husband Jim cooks hot dogs outside the Real Canadian Superstore on Saturday. For a decade, the Red Deer resident and her family have hosted Barbecue for a Cure every Saturday in May to raise their team’s pledge for the annual MS Walk. They raise about $2,000 each year through the event, which runs on the four remaining Saturdays this month at the Superstore from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Meyers Norris Penny MS Walk starts at 9 a.m. on May 30 at Bower Ponds while the Rona MS Bike Tour goes June 12 and 13.
