Barbecue, open house marks new fire station

Fire Station 5 is opening its doors.

Fire Station 5 is opening its doors.

Everyone is invited to attend a community barbecue and open house at one of the city’s oldest fire halls at 311 Jordan Parkway on Thursday.

The 911 Emergency Communications Centre and Fire Prevention branch will have interactive displays. Emergency Services members will also be on hand to answer questions.

The event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
