Weather permitting, crews will carry out cable barrier repairs on the QEII Highway from Red Deer River to the 32nd Street overpass on Wednesday.
The southbound fast lane will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lanes will be marked and traffic personnel will be on site to direct motorists and ensure safety.
“As always, we encourage drivers to slow down for everyone’s safety and follow the direction of ground crews,” said Mainroad in a statement.
