Roads may be icy this morning so drivers should beware.
511 Alberta says Highway 2, between Township Road 292 and Highway 581 east of Carstairs, were closed at 6:50 a.m. due to icy conditions and multiple vehicle collisions.
A local detour was in place and drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible.
Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools canceled school bus service for the Rocky Mountain House area due to snow fall and poor road conditions.
Affected routes were S-56, S-57 and S-58.
Service to St. Matthew School and St. Dominic High School in Rocky was cancelled, however the school is open.
