A city Recreation, Parks and Culture crew decorates the towering spruce tree on City Hall’s northeast corner Thursday. The work is in preparation for the 2010 Biggest Tree Festival and Christmas Parade Tuesday, Nov. 23rd in conjunction with the Festival of Trees. The free event runs from 6-7:45 p.m. in City Hall Park with the parade starting at 6:30 p.m. and its route west on Ross Street between 48th and 49th Avenues. However, if the temperature is -25 C with the windchill, the event will be cancelled. Volunteer entertainers and street performers are still needed and should contact organizers via the festival’s website www.reddeerfestivaloftrees.ca
