Edna Coulter is the newest member of Blackfald’s town council.
The results of the Jan. 10 byelection show Coulter received 108 votes, Ray Olfert had 49 votes and Will Taylor took 32.
At total of 189 out of 7,000 eligible voters cast ballots.
A full council was elected in the 2021 Municipal Election last October, but Amanda Valin chose not to be sworn in for the 2021-25 term.
