The Blackfalds Bulldogs are set to host some of Alberta’s top junior hockey talent next fall.

Wednesday, the Alberta Junior Hockey League announced that the Bulldogs would host the league’s showcase event at the Eagle Builders Centre, from Sept. 29 to Oct 2.

“From live hockey to activities and spaces for kids and families, along with partnerships with Central Alberta tourist attractions, we aim to give fans making the trip to Blackfalds the chance to experience all the great offerings Central Alberta has to offer,” said Bulldogs co-owners Doug and Jodie Quinn in a press release.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) today announced the dates for the 2022 AJHL Showcase, which will be held from September 29th – October 2nd, 2022 at the Eagle Builders Centre in Blackfalds, AB.

All 16 AJHL teams will compete in two regular-season games at the 16th Annual Showcase, which “attracts thousands of fans and over 200 members of the scouting community”.

A full schedule for the 2022 AJHL Showcase will be announced alongside the League Schedule in July.

Each of the 16 games will feature a rare interlock match-up between the South Division and North Division.

The annual showcase of AJHL talent draws coaches and scouts from each National Hockey League (NHL) team, NCAA Division I, II and III schools, as well as Canadian colleges and universities and the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).
