The Town of Blackfalds will name its new Library the Servus Credit Union Public library.
Town council accepted the facility sponsorship at its Feb. 9 council meeting.
“I am very excited that Servus has once again stepped forward to support another Blackfalds project. Their participation shows a commitment to being a positive and valuable force within our community,” said Blackfalds Mayor Richard Poole.
“Their choice to have that support go to the library demonstrates their tradition of helping provide diverse opportunities for all ages within our town.”
The 12,000 square foot library will feature two levels, multiple meeting rooms, added youth programming areas, and a highly anticipated outdoor learning center.
The library is part of the multiplex expansion project which started in 2020.
